ruby red lips

i think about
my youth

those ruby
red lips on
the latest
ghetto
queen

they enter
my dreams
like every
porn i have
ever seen

too often,
reality never
comes close
to that

of course,
i'd be too
stunned
if it did
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
fully convince me

everyone says i
look younger than
what i really am

i never have met
a liar that could
fully convince
me they aren't
full of shit
---------------------------------------------------------------
wanting to devour my soul

i have
no interest
in living
forever

the woman
of my dreams
hopes to be
dead by the
end of the
week

paradise is
a few quiet
moments
alone

where
she tastes
like an
alien
wanting
to devour
my soul

with any
luck

that's just
a tuesday
---------------------------------------------------------------------
better living through chemistry

i'm an avid
believer in
better living
through
chemistry

be it the bottle

the needle

a line or two

or a little peace
rolled up into
a slice of heaven

anything has
to be better
than what these
conservatives
call reality
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
upon her angelic skin

slipped into the
aura of a spanish
princess

kissed her gently
upon her angelic
skin

i go days without
hearing from her
now

i retrace my steps
and reassure this
fragile ego i have
done nothing
wrong

i'm sure that's not
the truth but i'm
tired of talking that
fucker down from
the bridge
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
starts to roll down my back

the summer heat
starts to roll down
my back

and i look at all
these long lines
and wonder how
many could i kill
before some brave
soul wanted to make
the evening news

and it's not like
i want to think
these things

but a soul beaten
down by society
can only muster
so many dreams
until the darkness
takes over for good
